What we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Last updated October 30, 2026.

What we collect

From your Google sign-in: your name, email address and profile picture. From the dashboard: your apps, channels, bundles, release notes, API keys, access tokens and team members. From apps that use the plugin, on each update check: the app id, the installed bundle and native versions, the platform, and a device identifier used to count monthly active users and failed starts.

What we use it for

  • Delivering updates and counting devices on each release.
  • Showing your analytics and sending the emails you asked for.
  • Billing through Polar and enforcing plan limits.
  • Security: checking signatures, restrictions and abuse.

Where it is kept

Account and release data live in the Native Update database. Bundle files are stored with our file-storage provider, and in your own Google Drive if you connect it. Emails go out through our email provider.

Analytics and error reports

The website uses three tools to see how it is used and to fix what breaks. They are part of how we keep the site working and improve it, so they run for every visitor; the notice at the bottom of your first visit says so.

  • Sentry (error reports): when something breaks, the error, your browser and system, and the page address without its query string; for 1 in 10 visits, how long the page took to load; for 1 in 10 visits and every visit with an error, a replay of the page with all text and images hidden. No name, email, cookies or request contents.
  • Amplitude (product analytics): which pages you open, your browser and device type, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address, under a random identifier it keeps in your browser.
  • Microsoft Clarity (session analytics): clicks, scrolling and a recording of the page with what you type masked, an approximate location from your IP address, under a random identifier it keeps in a cookie.

None of them receives your name, email or account details, and none is used for advertising.

The assistants

When you use an assistant, the text you type or speak is sent to the AI provider that produces the answer. Speak turns your voice into text twice: once in your browser, and once on our server, which sends the recording to a speech-to-text service and does not keep it.

Payments and refunds

Polar processes card payments as the merchant of record and keeps the card details; we never see them. Every purchase is final and is not refunded, as the Terms of Service explain; a payment a bank or Polar reverses ends the plan time it covered.

Your choices

You can export or delete your data at any time. The site keeps what it needs in your browser: your sign-in, your appearance settings and a note that you have seen the policy notice.

Deleting your account

Delete your account from Settings, or follow the data deletion page. Devices keep the bundle they have and stop receiving updates from your apps.
